Active Fire Alarm Systems

Fire continues to pose a significant threat to human life, not just at home but also in the workplace. At Gemini, we are absolutely committed to prioritising people and safety via the installation of industry-leading fire alarm systems.

Research from the Fire Protection Association (FPA) has also highlighted the potential financial risk UK business owners could be exposed to through fire. The analysis of 4,782 major UK fires between January 2009 and December 2019 where the financial loss was £100,000 or more, revealed a mean average loss of £657,074 per incident.
Comprehensive protection is absolutely critical.

Wireless Systems

Wireless solutions are a particularly attractive and cost-effective option for landlords and property owners with concerns the impact to the fabric of their building.

Our specialist, wireless solutions are designed to provide maximum value, whilst being installed efficiently with minimal cabling.

The installation of a sophisticated wireless system in high-rise buildings negates the requirement for a costly Waking Watch. Over time, this can lead to considerable savings.

Gemini can also help businesses take advantage of the government’s Waking Watch Relief Fund (WWRF), which would also offset some of the initial cost of the installation.

Advantages of a wireless solution
There are a huge number of benefits and advantages to choosing a wireless fire system over a wired solution:
• Increased flexibility – systems can be altered, extended and upgraded rapidly and with minimal disruption to occupiers of the building.
• The need for extensive cabling is eliminated, resulting in a pleasing aesthetic.
• Installation times are significantly lower than with a hard wired system
• Technological advances have resulted in sizable cost savings
• Suitable for all types of building including historic and restricted access environments.

Monitoring

A traditional fire alarm system will alert occupants of a building, it will not, however, automatically notify multiple keyholders or the emergency services. A fire monitoring system will take fire protection to the next level. As part of the installation process, a fire monitoring panel is connected to the traditional alarm system. In the event of a fire, and the alarm being triggered, the monitoring panel will send a signal back to our 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) – who will be able to contact the emergency services, as well as all other relevant stakeholders. We install a variety of signalling units – from standard digital communicators through to highly secure dual-path systems, which detect signalling path failure and provides an immediate back-up signal. Our comprehensive alarm monitoring services ensure constant peace of mind. By carefully monitoring your alarm and security systems 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, we can provide reassurance to our clients, whilst delivering excellent value for money.

Hybrid Systems

Advancements in battery technology have resulted in significantly improved longevity of several years between battery replacement.
The hybrid systems Gemini offers are fully compliant with the latest regulations (for instance, the Taurus range from Hyfire is fully certified to EN54 and fully compliant with BS5839 Part 1)
Hybrid systems can also contribute towards significant cost savings by negating the requirement for a Waking Watch
