One row per area per period. Areas are the 32 London boroughs, the City of London and a London total
(area_type = London; do not add the London rows to the borough rows).
Periods are calendar years, plus 2026-ytd which is 1 January 2026 to 31 July 2026 only.
The source files contain no incidents dated 31 December 2023. Totals for periods that include that date are lower than a complete record would be.

NOTES
These are incidents London Fire Brigade attended. From 29 October 2024 LFB stopped attending most automatic
fire alarm calls from non-residential buildings between 07:00 and 20:30 unless a fire is confirmed. Alarms it
did not attend are not in the data, so a fall in attendances is not a fall in alarm activations.
AFA false alarms include alarms at dwellings and other residential properties.
